As a young organisation Ometa does
not
only consist of innovative people, but also people who want to deal
with the environment issues in a conscious way. Ometa takes several
positive initiatives to that end. For instance they plan a
relocation of the company in order to meet the problem of traffic jam,
but also a complete conversion of the carfleet was in the roadmap. All
cars will be replaced by hybrid cars.
The delivery of the first 4 hybrid cars was well received by all employees. Terry
Brosens, responsible for HR, received solemnly the first Toyota Prius
cars. Terry Brosens : “Our recruitment policy consists of attracting
extra people with the same positive attitude. We turned all tax benefits
into a ‘business pack’, which means a direct reward for the employee.
The company, the employee and the environment each get their advantage
”.
The manager, Luc Deleu, also left his diesel aside in order to join this positive plan. Luc Deleu: “My first driving experiences with Prius are very positive – the fuel usage has decreased with 40 % –
the tax benefits and the comfort, such as the silence while driving are
impressive. I hope that OMETA can put an example function for colleague
IT companies.“
